Chamber Rallies To Support Police Department
We are asking for your financial support of an important project: the purchase of an ATV trailer for the Wahiawa Police Department. The police have 3 ATVs that they have purchased to help prevent crime in our parks and beaches. Unfortunately funding was not made available for the trailer to transport these ATVs and they have had to borrow trailers from other divisions. The trailer will be built by Spectrum Engineering and they hope to deliver it shortly after the beginning of 2006 if not sooner. The cost of the trailer to carry two ATVs at a time is about $7,000, "Through a generous donation of a Chamber member, we have already raised more than half the cost so we hope we can raise the rest of it before the end of November", said Kalani Fronda, Chairman of the Chamber. Make checks payable to “NSCOC” and note “ATV Fund” on the check. Our Christmas present to our community will be fewer crimes committed! Call 637- 4558 for more information. |
