North Shore Chamber of Commerce's Annual Christmas Party and Auction.

The North Shore Chamber of Commerce will be holding its annual Christmas Party and Auction at the Waimea Valley Audubon Center on Thursday, December 1, 2005 from 6:00 to 11:00 pm. This wonderful holiday event celebrates the people who have made lasting contributions to our North Shore community through the North Shore Kama'aina of the Year award. Last year there were two kama'aina of the year: Meryl Andersen and Peggy Paty, both who have made tremendous contributions to our community. This year the North Shore Kama'aina of the Year award will go to two outstanding community leaders, James Awai and Rod Miller, M. D.

In addition to the Kama'aina of the Year award, other awards given are the Holomua or "improvement" award, which is to encourage property owners to improve their properties through renovation and restoration; the Ho'onani or beautification award to encourage beautification and stewardship of the North Shore through projects that improve public/community spaces; and the Chamber Champion that goes to the person who has promoted and supported the Chamber in an outstanding way.    

What: North Shore Chamber of Commerce's annual Christmas Party and Auction.

When/Program: Thursday, December 1, 2005 at 6:00pm: no-host cocktails, Italian buffet dinner and entertainment, auction, and tributes to the North Shore Kama'aina of the Year James Awai and Rod Miller, M.D.   8:30 to 11:00 pm, dancing with Dragonfly , a jazz band with many musicians from the Honolulu Jazz Quartet and singer Amber Ricci playing new and classic jazz, swing, samba and salsa.    

Where: The Pikake Pavilion at the Waimea Valley Audubon Center

Prices:  

•  Individual tickets: $35 each for members and one guest; $40 each per non-member.   Must be prepaid by November 28 th 5pm; no sales at the door and no admittance if not prepaid.
