Celebrating the Arts on the North Shore

The North Shore Chamber of Commerce will be holding its Annual
Christmas Party and Auction at Waimea Valley Turtle Bay Resort's Kuilima Ballroom on Thursday, December 4, 2008 from 6:00 to 10:00 pm.  The theme is Celebrating the Arts on the North Shore with featured artists exhibiting their artwork which will be available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds going to the Chamber.  This wonderful holiday event recognizes and honors the people who have made lasting contributions to our North Shore community through the North Shore Kama’aina of the Year award.  This year the award will go to Gary Anderson, Joan Gossett and the Haleiwa Arts Festival.  In addition to the Kama’aina of the Year award, other awards given are the Holomua or “improvement” award, which is to encourage property owners to improve their properties through renovation and restoration; the Ho’onani or beautification award to encourage beautification and stewardship of the North Shore through projects that improve public/community spaces; the Public Service Award which goes to an outstanding public servant; the Volunteer of the Year who goes to the Chamber’s outstanding volunteer; and the Chamber Champion that goes to the person who has promoted and supported the Chamber in an outstanding way.   

What: North Shore Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Christmas Party and Auction.
When/Program: Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 6:00pm: no-host cocktails, auction, featured artists, dinner and awards with tributes to the North Shore Kama’aina of the Year
Where: The Pikake Pavilion at Waimea Valley Turtle Bay Resort's Kuilima Ballroom
Prices:  Individual tickets: $50 each for members; $60 each for non-members.  Corporate Tables seating 8 people: $500; Sponsor Tables seating 8 people: $1000
