Kahuku health center will expand
Koolauloa Community Health and Wellness Center, a federally qualified health center in Kahuku, has received a $643,500 grant from the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration to expand its primary care, prevention and wellness services.

Hotel expansion deal haunting North Shore
An open-ended deal that would allow Turtle Bay Resort to expand from fewer than 500 units to a total of 4,000 hotel rooms and condominium units, including a 380-room hotel at the secluded Kawela Bay, became law in 1986 with the approval of most residents on the North Shore.

US Congressman Ed Case to host "Talk Story" community meetings
Talk Story is a venue where the Congressman will report on what's going on in our national government, and answer your questions and listen to your thoughts. The meetings are scheduled for Kahuku and Haleiwa and set for Saturday, Feb 25, 2006. The Kahuku meeting will occur at the Kahuku Village Association Community Center (56-576 Kamehameha Hwy) from 8:00-9:00am. The Haleiwa meeting with be at the Haleiwa Elementary School (66-505 Haleiwa Road) from 9:30-10:30am. For more information, refer to the Congressman's website or recent community members mailer.
