DIRECTIONS TO HALEIWA AND PARKING
Parking at Ali'i Beach Park is by permit
only, so find parking
in Haleiwa town at the Cane Haul Road parking area or elsewhere
and hop a trolley to the event.
From Honolulu, take H-1 West to H-2 following the signs for
the North Shore. H-2 ends and becomes Highway 99, which
goes past Schofield Barracks. After the bridge and before
the traffic light, Highway 99 veers to the right. Stay
on Highway 99 until you come to another stop light at a junction
and turn left to go down to the North Shore.
Continuing on Highway 99 you will pass Dole Plantation, the
Waialua Coffee fields and then you will see a sign for Historic
Haleiwa Town. Take a left at the first traffic light and
proceed to Weed Circle, a circular junction, keeping right to
go to Haleiwa's main street (83). Proceed through town,
past the Waialua Community Center, a large building on the right,
and then you will see a big empty field. Proceed to the
only traffic signal in town at Cane Haul Road and turn right
to park. The trolley will stop there to take you to Ali'i
Beach Park.
If you come from the Windward side around the East and North
shores past Waimea Bay, look for the Historic Haleiwa Town sign
and turn right at the light. Proceed through town until
you come to the traffic signal and turn left onto Cane Haul Road
to park.
